Mick George Summer Garden Party
Over 500 guests made up of employees and their family members enjoyed The Mick George annual summer garden party which took place on Saturday. The event was held in the grounds of Mick's house in Houghton and array of entertainment was available for people of all ages. There was a Carousel, the Dodgems, a Ferris Wheel and a Bouncy Castle. Music came in the sound of a steel band which played throughout the afternoon and the very popular local band 'The Soul Patrol' had guests dancing until the early hours. A delicious Hog Roast and BBQ was provided followed by a chocolate fountain.
Mick George commented 'We have around 200 employees now, this is just to say thank you to them for all of the hard work that they put in throughout the year. It takes a lot of hard work to organise the garden party but it is all worthwhile when I see everyone enjoying themselves. Unfortunately the weather was not so good this year but we were well prepared and it didn't look like it deterred too many people'.
