Mick George Ltd. Supports new AFC Rushden & Diamonds Youth Programme
When Rushden & Diamonds ceased to exist in summer 2011, a group of dedicated fans got together and created AFC Rushden & Diamonds with a sole purpose of becoming a community-based club. A community benefit society co-operative was formed where fans can become owners of the not-for-profit club. Currently there are 450 members and the numbers are rising.
A successful amalgamation with a local youth club called South Rushden Junior FC, whom had previously operated 11 youth teams in the area for over 10 years, now sees AFC Rushden & Diamonds re-launching their youth system so as to give youngsters access to quality coaching and progress with a clear path through the ranks to its senior teams.
Mick George Ltd. is very pleased to support the new youth initiatives at the Club and we have sponsored the South Rushden Under 15’s side this season. We will carry our sponsorship over to what will become the new AFC Rushden & Diamonds U16’s team when the new season kicks off.
