Cambridge Guided Busway
The £116 million Cambridgeshire Guided Busway will be the world’s longest guided busway at 25.1km long. Designed to alleviate traffic congestion, the busway will give commuters a regular, fast and reliable service into the City. For this prestigious project Mick George Ltd were contracted to:
- Provide a haulage and disposal service for 250,000 m3 of soils to facilitate the construction of the guided busway
- Sample, analyse and classify soils for disposal
- Supply and lay 100,000 m3 of recycled aggregate for park and ride car parks
- Move up to 200 loads a day
